I've been trying to get my mom to buy me a dog for my 16th and I think adopting is the best thing to do. In fact, I have my heart set on adopting a dog in need of a home. Currently... we have a 3 (he'll be 4 on the 6xth of April) year old Aussie who loves attention and thinks he's a lap dog. All 60 pounds of him! The only thing is........ my mom's afraid that he's still too hyper! Is there a type of dog that can get along with a super, hyperactive, and energetic dog?

I have boxers and I have never had any problems with them interacting with any other kind of dog, laid back or full of energy. Go to the Boxer rescues... it would be a perfect match believe me.  (If you weren't so far away ... I am in Iowa ... I would give you a pup ready the end of June ... but good luck)
